Meghan is an attorney in the firm’s mass tort and product liability department.
For the past several years her practice has focused almost exclusively on cases involving dangerous or defective pharmaceutical products including Zyprexa, Ortho Evra, Bextra, Celebrex, Accutane, Yaz/Yasmin, Byetta, Reglan, SSRI antidepressants, Actonel and Fosamax. Meghan actively worked with the plaintiffs’ steering committee for several multidistrict litigations (MDLs), including the Zyprexa MDL in the Eastern District of New York, the Ortho Evra MDL in the Northern District of Ohio, the Yaz/Yasmin MDL in the Southern District of Illinois, and the Fosamax MDL in the Southern District of New York.
Meghan was on the trial team for several Fosamax trials, including one of the first Fosamax MDL trials, Boles v. Merck, in which the 72 year old plaintiff, Shirley Boles, was awarded $8 million in compensatory damages.
Over the course of her career, Meghan has spoken at several seminars and conferences regarding the scientific and discovery issues involved in the various pharmaceutical cases she has worked on, and she is active with the American Association of Justice.
Meghan received her BA cum laude from Northwestern University in 1997 and JD from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2000. Upon graduating law school she clerked for Justice James Gilbert of the Minnesota Supreme Court.
