Verdict: $417 Million in First California Talcum Powder Jury Trial

A California jury has returned a verdict of $417 million against Johnson and Johnson for a woman who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer after using talcum powder products including Johnson and Johnson baby powder.

The Johnson & Johnson Company and Johnson and Johnson Consumer Incorporated were defendants in the California jury trial, which awarded $70 million in damages and an additional $347 in punitive damages.
