Brian J. Perkins

Specializing in:

  • Sexual Abuse
  • Personal Injury
  • Product Liability

Attorney Brian J. Perkins is a career trial attorney with a history of protecting the rights of others.

He sharpened his trial skills in the criminal courtroom as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the felony sex crimes unit where he spent years obtaining justice for victims of sexual abuse and violent crime. “When I was in the courtroom prosecuting a criminal, I was in a greater sense representing the victim,” Perkins says.

Brian’s devotion to helping others continues in his work at Levin Simes Abrams LLP where he focuses on helping victims of abuse, catastrophic injury, and loss of life.

Real trial experience is rare in the world of civil law and Perkins’s familiarity with the courtroom gives him a powerful edge. Throughout his career, Brian has been involved in over 500 hearings and has tried more than 200 cases to verdict, 38 of those in front of a jury.

“The courtroom feels like my home. It is the place where the quiet voice of reason can be heard no matter how large the opponent. It is a privilege to stand up for my clients at trial and persuade a jury to seek justice.”

To be successful at trial, Brian believes a trial lawyer must be completely committed to each client. This commitment requires a client’s trust and demands effective communication between him and his client.

“Behind every case is a person who experienced a life changing event. A good lawyer must know, understand, and appreciate the specific needs and interests of each client. I fight hard to earn the trust of my client and seek to build a strong relationship early in the case.”

In doing so, Brian enjoys a close relationship with his clients, which he credits for his tremendous success in obtaining the large settlements and verdicts they deserve. He has successfully represented clients in a variety of cases including sexual abuse, pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, catastrophic auto and truck crashes, products liability, medical negligence, workers compensation, and premises liability.
